Calling all hairstylists, cosplayers, makers, and creative artists! Ever wondered how theatrical wigs and hairpieces are made? In this hands-on class, students will learn the art of wig building and hairpiece construction while creating custom wigs and hairstyles for CYT Phoenix's The Wizard of Oz! From colorful Munchkin styles to iconic Oz characters, students will gain practical skills used in theatre, cosplay, and professional costume design. There's nothing more exciting than seeing a wig you helped create come to life under the stage lights! Whether you're interested in theatrical design, cosplay, or simply love working with hair, this class offers a unique opportunity to learn real-world techniques while contributing to a MainStage production.

Gabrielle Martin is a senior at Grand Canyon University going for her BA in Theatre. She has been involved in theater since she was 5 years old and has loved every minute of making this her passion. Acting has allowed her to express herself on and off the stage. She is so excited to get to work with kids, helping them pursue their passions in acting also while glorifying God with their art!
