Description

Sharpen your wit, find your voice, and take aim at a bold summer of storytelling!

The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood is a full-day CYT theater summer camp for teens ages 13–18. Designed for older performers, this camp focuses on character development, comedic timing, ensemble work, and confident storytelling through a fast-paced and cleverly written musical.
Campers will spend the week diving into the world of Sherwood Forest, bringing Robin Hood, Maid Marian, Little John, and a hilariously unpredictable cast of characters to life. With sharp humor, playful twists, and energetic musical numbers, students will explore advanced acting techniques, vocal performance, and stage movement while working collaboratively as an ensemble. The week culminates in an evening showcase where campers perform the full stage adaptation for family and friends.

All About The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood

This modern, tongue-in-cheek retelling turns the legendary outlaw’s story on its head. Narrated by a feisty band of teens, the show blends classic folklore with contemporary humor as Robin and his merry band attempt to outsmart the over-the-top Sheriff of Nottingham. Packed with clever dialogue, strong ensemble moments, and unexpected twists, this musical celebrates courage, loyalty, and standing up for what’s right.
