Description

Discover your acting style in a supportive, fun environment. This class will focus on the fundamentals of acting, working with the script, and character development. Learn how to connect emotion and react with believability. This will build your confidence in social situations and on stage. Whether you're a curious beginner, an experienced actor,  or want to overcome stage fright, this class is the perfect first step.

Taught by Joanie Colson, a passionate educator and theater professional. Joanie is part of the theater education faculty at GCU and holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from NAU. Her experience and heart for students make this class an unforgettable and empowering experience for every young actor.

Joanie Colson is a highly respected director, educator, and professor whose dedication to excellence and creativity has left a profound impact on students, colleagues, and the broader Theater community. Using her 35 plus years of experience, Joanie combines her deep-rooted values with innovative teaching methods, visionary leadership in every role she undertakes. A native of Phoenix and committed Christian, she is married to Rick, and has one son, Caleb.
