Intro to improv is a class designed to introduce performers to the basics of improv comedy, starting with listening, reacting, and acceptance within a scene. We will spend our class learning to play by the one rule of improv: Yes, And…!  

Each week we will focus on a new skill and learn some real improv games to practice it, like Switch Left, Freeze, New Choice, and Mind Meld. You don’t need to be funny to sign up! Just ready to come up with lots of ideas, go with the flow, and above all, say "Yes, And!" This class will focus on improv as a comedic form, but so many of the skills you’ll learn can extend beyond improv! They are great additions to any actor's toolkit that can help with character choices, authentic reactions, and staying present in a scene. If you’re ready to get creative, get confident, and laugh a lot along the way, this class is for you!
