Description

Step into the world of Musical Theatre Jazz! In Broadway Jazz: Technique & Storytelling, dancers will strengthen their foundational technique while discovering how movement can be used to tell a story, build character, and bring choreography to life onstage.

Each class will incorporate proper warm-ups, across-the-floor progressions, technical drills, and fun combinations designed to improve turns, leaps, kicks, coordination, and overall dance technique. With a focus on Musical Theatre Jazz, students will learn how to move beyond simply executing choreography and begin making intentional performance choices through expression, musicality, and storytelling.
Dancers will also develop essential audition skills, including picking up choreography, retaining combinations, performing with confidence, and learning how to properly warm up and prepare their bodies for dance.
Whether preparing for their next CYT audition or simply growing as a performer, students will leave this class with stronger technique, greater confidence, and more tools to tell a story through movement!
