Class Description

Learn the ins and outs of stage managing a show! In this class, students will learn the basics of stage management, including how to organize and run auditions and rehearsals, how to coordinate with the cast, production, and artistic team members, how to oversee technical elements and bring them together during tech week, as well as how to create a prompt book, and call a show. 
Prerequisite: This is an Intermediate/Advanced level specialty class. Student must have taken an Intermediate level class or have equivalent previous theater experience. Please email for clarification for this prerequisite.


Dexter Tuten

Dexter Tuten is a CYT alumnus, having participated in CYT classes and shows while in High School, and has worked as a teacher for classes, and Stage Manager for many CYT Phoenix main-stage productions.
