Have you ever been intrigued or curious about theater makeup and design, including special effects makeup? Now is your chance to learn more about the fun, hands-on process of creating makeup designs for the stage. In this class, we will learn the basics of theater makeup including application, selecting shades, and blending. Students will also learn to apply both two and three dimensional makeup applications, including techniques for creating old age makeup, facial injuries like cuts and bruises, as well as fantasy and abstract designs. We will even create custom designs for our spring MainStage production of Seussical the Musical. By the end of the class, students will understand the process of both designing and applying makeup for the stage. They will finish the class by creating their own unique final makeup designs for a specific character. 

Additional $30 materials fee is for students' makeup kit for the class and is theirs to keep.
