Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, this middle school adaptation of MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. The 2005 Broadway production won three Tony® Awards, including Best Musical, and was followed by two successful West End runs. The outrageous, uproarious, and gloriously entertaining story of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake will delight casts and audiences as they search for the Holy Grail and “always look on the bright side of life.”
This 60-minute Young@part version of Spamalot is appropriate for all ages and is hilariously ridiculous. The teens will learn the entire show in just one week and perform for friends and family on Saturday. The entire cast will have a chance to help with costumes, sets and props as well as hone their comedic abilities!
A day of camp includes dedicated time in each of the disciplines of acting, singing and dancing. Kids should bring a packed lunch, a water bottle and comfy clothes with closed-toe shoes. Per the Governor's 3/25/21 Executive Order, masks or face shields will not be required for campers and staff as long as there is not a state mask mandate in place at the time of camp. Kids who wish to wear a mask are still welcome to do so.
Don't miss this tremendously fun week with all your CYT friends!
