Description
This original pop/rock opera version is like no Alice you’ve ever seen -it’s a “wonder-filled” new musical full of surprises and twists on the classic story. Alice Lidelle is a high school senior who loves the band “The Red Queen” and dislikes a homework assignment from her teacher, Miss Turtle. When she and her sister (dressed as a white rabbit for a costume party) are grounded the night of the concert, the two are sent spiraling down, down, down into a topsy-turvy world. A 2005 Stephen Schwartz/ASCAP national award winner based upon Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll, this modern adaptation filled with contemporary rock-style music is sure to fill audiences with wonder.

AUDITIONS March 2nd 6:00-8:00pm (times subject to change) CYT Warehouse 2920 E Mohawk Ln #106 AUDITION SIGN-UP Auditions will take place in 30-minute time slots. Students may sign up for an audition by emailing shows@cytphoenix.org with their top 3 time slot choices. (ie 1st choice- 6:30-7:00, 2nd choice 7:00-7:30, 3rd choice 7:30 to 8:00) Students should be prepared to sing a 1-2 minute song for their initial audition. Students should present a song that shows of their voice in its most successful range and style and shows our directors a bit of personality. Due to the style of this show, for these auditions only, we are allowing students to sing a pop song (please be sure lyrics are appropriate).Songs should be performed with a karaoke track or a capella (No pianist will be provided, and students should not sing along with the original artist ).
